Research is a semi-private community. Applying is free. If approved, you'll have access to tickets for all future events.

Membership Application

Legal last name is strongly preferred — it makes the folks working the door's lives easier. ID is required at the door to verify you are 21+.

In some cases our emails end up in spam. Leave your number if you'd prefer a text notification instead.

Community Guidelines

We want Research to be a comfortable, safe place for everyone. These behaviors are not allowed:

  • Non-Consensual Touching
  • Racist, Homophobic, Transphobic, Sexist, or other Discriminatory Language
  • Leering / Gawking / Creepy Staring
  • Weapons, violence, or threatening behavior of any kind
  • Ignoring restricted area signage + vandalizing the space

Also:

  • Be conscious of other people's space.
  • Pace yourself — it's a marathon, not a sprint. Stay hydrated.
  • 📵 No phones or photos on/around the dancefloor. Keep chatter to a minimum there too.
  • Song requests? Wrong place. 👽
  • Leave glow toys at home.

🚨 Failure to comply may result in you being banned from future Research events.
🚨 If you bring a guest that doesn't abide by our Safer Space Policy, you and your guest will be banned.

How did you find out about Research?
Do you know an existing Research member? *

Anyone who has attended a Research underground event is automatically a member. The quickest path to approval is having one vouch for you.

Instagram, Letterboxd, Bluesky, Twitter/X, Facebook, LinkedIn — any works. If possible, link to a public account, as it helps us review your application.

After submitting, give us a few days to review your application. You'll receive a confirmation email shortly. Check your spam folder if you don't see it. Once approved, we'll send you instructions to set up your account and buy tickets.
